SAUDI – Recruitment

EFA joins GDC for the driving instructor recruitment campaign in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. GDC is collaborating with CEPA Emea and EYWA who is the founder of the project to train thousands of new driving instructors. There is currently a great need and opportunity for female instructors who speak English or Arabic with experience in driving training.

SAFE-UP Project

EFA Jellylearn
JellyLearn is pleased to announce its partnership with Deep River Development to produce 12 one minute CGI hazard perception clips covering a wide range of weather conditions and vulnerable road user scenarios for their theory test software.

GDC Memorandum of Understanding
EFA expands its network of training companies and road safety experts by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with GDC (Global Driver Standards Certification). GDC provides global standards and certification programs for training centers, master trainers and drivers.

Public Consultation on Bus and Truck Drivers
The EU rules on driving time, breaks and rest periods apply equally to lorry drivers and bus and coach drivers. However, these rules are not always suitable for passenger transport. This initiative aims to address the specific needs of bus and coach drivers in organising their working time. The Commission will evaluate the current rules and may propose measures to meet these needs.

Artificial Intelligence
Transport is one of the economic sectors where artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are seeing rapid uptake. The growth trends are clear: ‘In the future, the transport system will accommodate vehicles with ever growing computing power, high speed connectivity, deep learning algorithms for artificial intelligence, fast processing and decentralised data handling’.
